The success of the Linea airdrop, in my opinion, is not about the amount distributed but whether it is fair or not.
🔹 Arbitrum example: 11.6% of the total supply has been distributed. A maximum of 10,250 ARB was given.
A balanced distribution has been achieved from small investors to large users ➡️ everyone won.
🔹 zkSync example: 17.5% was distributed but over 100k ZK went to a single wallet.
The small user received 450 ZK. A difference of 200 times. This became one of the most criticized airdrops in history.
Now, a total of 9% of the supply will be distributed on the Linea side, which is (6.48B $LINEA).
The critical point here is:
If the wallet head upper limit is 50,000 $LINEA:
✓ The distribution will be broad and fair.
✓ Whales can't disrupt the market
✓ Real users stand out instead of farmers
✓ Long-term supporters trust
"Will those below 1500 LXP be left out?" is being asked. Actually, there is no need. Because a fair upper limit keeps everyone inside. This way, an additional 300 thousand real users can be gained.
In short, the issue is not to exclude anyone. The issue is to make a healthy start that will grow the ecosystem in the long term and provide security.
Arbitrum succeeded because it chose to "balance".
zkSync failed because it chose the "whales."
Linea's chance: To establish balance not in favor of whales, but in favor of the community.
