SEC delays decision on Ripple and DOGE ETF applications

Latest news, the SEC has delayed its decision on the applications for Ripple (XRP) and DOGE ETF, with the new decision date set for mid-June. However, experts say this may not be the final deadline, and there could be more delays ahead.
It is reported that the SEC has delayed the review decision of two cryptocurrency-related ETFs. Among them, one is a Dogecoin meme coin ETF proposed by Bitwise, while the other is a Ripple XRP fund submitted by Franklin Templeton in mid-March. Currently, the review period for the two ETFs has been extended to June 15 and June 17, respectively.
The SEC mentioned in the document that they feel the need for more time to consider the proposed rule changes and the questions raised, so according to the relevant legislation, the final decision date has been set for June 17.
Eleanor Terrett of Fox Business News quoted ETF expert James Seyffart, stating that these new dates are still somewhat uncertain and there may be further delays, likely around the 18th of mid-October.
In addition to the XRP and DOGE ETFs, the SEC has also postponed the review of several other cryptocurrency ETFs, including Franklin's Solana fund and Grayscale's Hedera ETF.
A few days before the XRP ETF was postponed, the SEC approved three futures funds from ProShares, which were initially said to launch on April 30, but that news was later debunked, and the estimated launch date is now May 14.
